Club History

The club idea started as an ambitious idea by eight former Rotaractors from different Rotaract clubs who met in an evening at the residence of Bashar Haddaad. The Rotaractors were:

  • Farid Musharbash - RAC Amman Jerash
  • Ghaith Amaireh - RAC Amman Cosmopolitan
  • Jeries Shahin - RAC Amman Cosmopolitan
  • Jihad Bashoura - RAC Amman Petra
  • Saleh Al-Ayed - RAC Amman
The aim was to establish a Rotary club that differs from other clubs in its spirit, harmony and bonding through maintaining the same spirit. The group of eight expanded and reached 26 persons, who were mostly previous Rotaractors. It was decided by the group to seek the sponsorship of a well-established Rotary club, the Rotary Club of Amman who nominated PP Rami Shaban (who was a Rotaractor as well) to join our club and assist in chartering it, where he served as the club president.
