Your big efforts, dedicated work, belief in the club’s mission and continuous bestowal contributed to achieve what we have and what we always aspire for. Without you, it would have been impossible to achieve all what we have mentioned above. And now, while I hand the rudder to another fellow, with whole hearted trust that he will continue the path, and I will be a support and faithful helper. We might have disagreed sometimes and argued, and each has expressed their opinion differently, and since disagreement does not damage amicability, I am confident that those disagreements pushed our work and contributed to our achievements, as we all focus on one goal regardless of circumstances, had it be sickness or travelling, we managed to bring ideas closer to reach the best for our club. And here I would like to wish our fellow Dr. Rami Raquban a speedy recovery, and fellows Rakan and Amer a safe return home. He who does not thank people, does not thank God, and because all of you deserve the gratitude for this great year, allow me to: - Thank my small family, specially my wife Mais, who beard with me a lot this year and was a continuous supporter, event at moments when I lost hope or ability to continue. Her support beside me and encouragement used to put me back on track
- Thank Hania Kabariti, Deputy District Governor, who was of the first supporters of this club, as our Godmother.
- Thank Ehab Kilani, our assistant governor, whose guidance and support allowed us to reach this stage
- Thank Farid Musharbash, the club’s groom, who did not hesitate to help the club and the projects, coming from the construction site directly to our meeting location
- Thank Firas Musharbash, the roles distributor who always made sure all is set before the meeting. I foresee a prosperous future for him in Rotary
- Thank Ghazi Al-Dabbas, our incoming president. You supportive to all projects and supported everyone all through the years, and we will be your support next year.
- Thank Jihad Bashoura, whose work arrangement and time forbid him from attending regularly, but he was up to the responsibility and made our RYLA see the light.
- Thank Nada Al-Wer, who was always keen to update us with the latest economic and political news. She was always adding charm to the meeting.
- Thank Rosa Shahin, our views converger of views who was always eager to hear all opinions
- Thank Raed Massis, our minister of finance who was caring for our bank account balance and followed up on paying our duties on time, who has the famous saying “In God We Trust, We Audit Everyone Else”
- Thank Rami Shaban, our ambassador to other clubs and the district. We are always proud to have you with us
- Thank Samer Gammoh, the unkonwn soldier, our sergeant-at-arms, who always took care of the professionalism of our meetings
- Thank Jeries Shahin, the one who bore me the most with all my distemper and anger, he was always complying. I consider him as my brother from different mother. He was a continuous support for me, and whenever I had to be away for any reason, he made sure no one is noticing, and played my role many times. It will be hard to pay back.
- Thank Hala Al-Masri, our club guest. We will all support her if Farid upset her. She assisted the club and supported many of its project
- Thank Majd Khalifeh, our auditor for the third year in a row. Never hesitated to assist the club
- Thank Kamal Batshon, the new mysterious member whom we cannot know what he is thinking about, and when the club needed he was a pioneer and played a big role in making the computer lab project a success.
- Thank Mohammad Hamdieh, although he was travelling continuously, but he used to come to the meeting from the airport. His contribution to the tree project for the second year was one of the major factors of the project’s success
- Thank the member with the highest attendance for this year, the dearest Nada Al-Wer
Last but not least, and as you all know, the Avenues of Service citation is presented from the president to one member every year, and is signed by the Rotary International President, and has his name announced on the Rotary International Website. This certificate, and as a gratitude from myself, and because he deserves it, is presented to my brother and friend, Jeries Shahin. I repeat my gratitude to all of you, assuring that I will remain the fellow who works and gives with dedication, love and selflessness. بدونكم كان من المستحيل أن نحقق ما ذكر أعلاه، وأنا اليوم اسلم دفة القيادة إلى زميل آخر، وكلي ثقة بأنه سيكمل المسيرة وسأكون له من الداعمين والعاملين بكل إخلاص وجد. من الممكن أن نكون قد اختلفنا في بعض الأحيان، وتجادلنا، وكل عبر عن رأيه بطريقة مختلفة، ولان اختلاف وجهات النظر لا يفسد للود قضية، فإنني على يقين تام بان هذه الخلافات هي التي أثرت عملنا وحققت لنا نجاحاتنا، ولأننا جميعا نعمل على هدف واحد ،بجميع الظروف ان كان سفر ,او مرض حيث نتمنى الشفاء العاجل لزميلنا الدكتور رامي رقبان و العودة بالسلامة لراكان و عامر استطعنا أن نقرب وجهات النظر حتى نصل إلى الأفضل لمصلحة نادينا. ولأن من لا يشكر الناس لا يشكر الله ولانكم جميعا تستحقون الشكر على هذه السنة الرائعة، فاسمحوا لي بما يلي : - شكراً لعائلتي الصغيرة وعلى رأسهم زوجتي ميس، التي تحملتني كثيرا هذا العام وكانت الداعمة لي دوما، حتى عندما كنت افقد الامل مرات او افقد المقدرة على الاستمرار، كان وقوفها بجانبي وكلامها وتشجيعها لي ويرجعوني الى الطريق الصحيح.
- شكراً هانية الكباريتي، نائب المحافظ، التي كانت من اول يوم داعمه لنادينا ومتابعة إنجازاتنا، كانت كالأب الروحي لنا.
- شكراً ايهاب الكيلاني مساعد المحافظ، الذي بإرشاداته ودعمه المتواصل وصلنا لهذه المرحلة.
- شكراً فريد مشربش، عريس النادي، الذي لم يتواني عن مد يد المساعده للنادي ولمشاريعه من ورشة البناء الى مكان لقائنا الاسبوعي.
- شكراً فراس مشربش، موزع الأدوار، الذي كان دائماً يتأكد من جميع الامور قبل الأجتماع، أرى له مستقبلاً باهراً بالعائلة الروتارية.
- شكراً غازي الدباس، رئيسنا القادم، كنت داعماً لكل المشاريع، وقفت مع الجميع طوال هذه السنين وسنكون معك طوال السنة القادمة.
- شكرا جهاد باشورة، مع ان طبيعة عمله واوقات دوامه منعته من الحضور، ولكن كان على قدر المسؤولية وجعل الـRYLA ترى النور.
- شكراً ندى الور، والحريصة دوماً على تحديث معلوماتنا وتزويدنا بآخر الاخبار الاقتصادية و السياسية، كانت دائماً تزيد الاجتماع بريقاً.
- شكراً روزا شاهين، مقربة وجهات النظر، والحريصة دائما على سماع الرأي والرأي الآخر.
- شكراً رائد مصيص، وزير ماليتنا، الحريص على رصيدنا في البنك، والمتابع لدفع التزاماتنا في وقتها، صاحب الكلمة الشهيرة In God we Trust, We Audit Everyone Else
- شكراً رامي شعبان، سفيرنا للنوادي الآخرى و المنطقة، فخورون بوجودك معنا.
- شكراً سامر قموه، الجندي المجهول، ضابط نظامنا الذي كان يتأكد دائما من مهنية اجتماعاتنا.
- شكراً جريس شاهين، اكتر واحد اتحملني بنكدي وعصبيتي، كان دائماً يقول لي حاضر، أعتبره مثل أخي الذي لم تلده امي، كان الداعم لي دوماً وعند تعذر وجودي لأي سبب ما، كان يحرص ان لايشعر أحد بذلك، قام بدوري بالعديد من المرات سيكون صعباً رد الجميل له.
- شكراً هلا المصري، ضيفة النادي، كلنا واقفين معها أذا زعلها فريد، ياويلك منا جميعاً، قدمت يد العون والمساعدة للنادي ودعمت عدة مشاريع للنادي .
- شكراً مجد خليفة، مدقق حساباتنا، للسنة الثالثه على التوالي، لم تتواني عن تقديم المساعده للنادي.
- شكراً كمال بطشون، العضو الجديد الغامض ما منعرف بماذا بيفكر ولكن لما النادي إحتاجه كان من السباقين، كان له الدور الكبير بإنجاح مشروع مختبر الحاسوب.
- شكراً محمد حمدية، مع انه دائم السفر، ولكن كان يأتي من المطار على الاجتماع، مساهمته الكبيره للمرة الثانية على التوالي بمشروع الشجره كانت من اكبر عوامل النجاح لهذا المشروع.
- وككل عام شكراً للاكثر حضورا لهذه السنة وهي العزيزة ندى الور.
واخيراً وليس آخراً، وكما تعلمون جميعا فان جائزة الـ Avenues of Service تقدم من الرئيس لعضو واحد في كل سنة، وتكون موقعة من الرئيس الدولي ويتم انزال اسمه على الموقع الالكتروني للروتاري الدولي. هذه الشهاده وكشكر وتقدير مني ولأنه يستحقها، وقد عمل على جميع جوانب الخدمة، اقدمها لاخي وحبيبي جريس شاهين. اكرر لكم شكري وتقديري، مؤكدا لكم بأنني سابقي الزميل الذي يعمل ويعطي بكل تفاني وحب وإيثار. ولكم مني الشكر الجزيل، والمحبة الخالصة ودمتم سندا وعونا لنادينا العظيم. والله ولي التوفيق ... بشار شاكر حداد
